Opalite is extremely calming and soothing to our mind and emotions. Just looking at a piece brings one into a state of tranquility. We have also had people report feelings of happiness, joy, well-being and a sense of harmony. Everyone seems to have a different experince with this beautiful stone. It's created by fusing minerals like dolomite and metal at high temperatures to mimic the volcanic environment where natural opal forms. The glass is then melted with raw materials, cooled, and solidified. The surface of the stone contains silicon dioxide particles that create an iridescence similar to natural opal.
